Oscar’s Smokehouse in Warrensburg, NY

I once heard the claim, “You can put anything in a smoker and it will taste good.” While this theory hasn’t been disproven in my presence, a recent trip to Oscar’s Smokehouse in the Adirondacks of New York verified that anything going into their smoker tastes good and comes out tasting better. From mouthwatering sugar- and salt-cured bacon to an array of jerkies to a particularly memorable smoked blue cheese, everything we tried at Oscar’s was exceptional. In addition to over 150 items made in-house, Oscar’s carries a selection of Schaller & Weber products, a gesture of mutual respect and an honor we’re not about to overlook. A family-run business since 1946, these guys are still standing even after two ruinous fires, and now, with their LEED-certified building and state of the art equipment, they’re definitely not going anywhere anytime soon.
