At Schaller & Weber, we love nothing more than introducing our customers to new flavors and experiences, but it doesn’t hurt to have two hundred and fifty years of tradition to back us up, either. A Bavarian meatloaf developed around 1776, Leberkäse is one of those dishes that is new to many, yet stands the test of time. Try our recipe at Suppenküche, one of our favorite breakfast spots in San Francisco, where it’s served simply alongside tender roasted potatoes and that perfect compliment to just about anything, a fried egg. The folks in the kitchen over there have assuredly mastered other German delicacies as well, so visit them for brunch on Sundays from 10 to 2:30 p.m. Or, as one Yelp reviewer wrote, “Their brunch is so great. You should not go.”
